Jon's Credentials

Jon Kraushar is President of Jon Kraushar & Associates, Inc., a communications training and strategy company founded in 1995. From 1982-1995 Mr. Kraushar was an executive at Ailes Communications, rising to president of the company. Mr. Kraushar has worked on a wide range of domestic and international assignments, involving political campaigns, crisis management, public relations, advertising, marketing and leadership development.  He has prepared executives, elected officials, authors and other persons in key positions to meet the press, address stockholders, testify before Congressional committees and deliver speeches to important audiences, including boards of directors, industry and voter groups, potential investors and clients.  For 20 years, Fox News retained him to enhance the on-air delivery of selected anchors, hosts and correspondents.  Mr. Kraushar’s clients have included more than 50 companies, as diverse as Sotheby's, Merrill Lynch, Gibson Guitar, KPMG and Nestlé as well as think tanks such as The Heritage Foundation, the Manhattan Institute and The Cato Institute.

Mr. Kraushar has provided coaching in media interviewing, debating, stump speaking, fund raising, and convention addresses for many office holders and candidates, including Paul Ryan, Joni Ernst, Thom Tillis, Dan Sullivan, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Kelly Ayotte, Mac Thornberry, Jeff Flake, Ed Royce, Eric Cantor, Marsha Blackburn, Buck McKeon, Terry Branstad, Rudy Giuliani, Newt Gingrich, Tim Pawlenty, Bill Frist, Pete Wilson, Steve Forbes, Don Nickles, Mike DeWine, Phil Gramm, George Pataki, George Voinovich, Connie Mack, John Engler, Craig Benson, Terry Branstad, Amo Houghton, Tom Ridge, Nancy Johnson, Don Sundquist and Dick Cheney (for his 2000 Vice Presidential debate with Senator Joseph Lieberman).  Mr. Kraushar has served as a communications consultant to the National Republican Congressional and Senatorial Committees, and the New York Reagan/Bush and Bush/Quayle '88 campaigns.  In 1992, he was called in to work with Vice President Dan Quayle, notably on his address to the Republican National Convention and his debate with Al Gore.  His other political clients have included heads of state in Latin America, Western Europe and Asia and Cabinet members such as Dr. Louis Sullivan, US Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Don Evans, US Secretary of Commerce.

Mr. Kraushar has provided book tour training for prominent authors published by Simon & Schuster, Houghton Mifflin, Crown, Macmillan, Doubleday and many others.  He is a former producer and newswriter for WCBS-TV in New York, a corporate public relations executive, and an award winning journalist whose honors include a fellowship in public affairs reporting at the Washington Journalism Center. His innovative work in communications has been featured in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune and other print and broadcast media across the country.  He is listed in Who's Who in America. Mr. Kraushar collaborated with media expert Roger Ailes on a book about effective personal communication, You Are the Message, selected as one of the "year's best" business books by the The Wall Street Journal.*

Mr. Kraushar frequently addresses business groups on a variety of management issues.  Two of his popular workshops are “Thinking and Talking in Sound Bites” and “Influencing the Court of Public Opinion.” He is a former member of the board of governors of the New York International Association of Business Communicators, where he produced The Main Event special speakers’ forum.  Mr. Kraushar has a B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and an MBA in Marketing and International Business from New York University.
